Is remote working still something that your employees do, or have continued to do since Covid?
There are certain occupations of course where it was never something that could happen, you can’t pour a pint for a punter remotely, or serve a remote coffee or a pork pie, so in some industries it was never a thing in the first place.
Every employee now has the right to request flexible leave (please ensure your policies are up to date and if not, please contact us directly), but again, it doesn’t work in every industry.
Nigel Farage has come out in the press this week, saying that any council they control in England and Wales, will be required to come back to work, instead of WFH. However, this is a bit of hypocrisy as the Reform Party are currently advertising a role for a Regional Director role, which is WFH.
So, if you run a business and want your staff back in the office instead of working from home, you have to be careful about this, as you don’t want to end up in a messy employment tribunal.
There are ways that we can help make it happen, so if you want a free, impartial, no obligation meeting about how we can help and get it right first time, then please contact Andrew, Lindsay or Paul.
